Noah

Ch Afara Not A Day Goes By

After breeding ZuZu 3X, we found she produced beautiful puppies, many with her father’s (Triple H Moonwalker) far-reaching front with his sloping shoulder and long upper arm and most importantly did not produce any problems/genetic diseases (fluffs, mis-marks, cryptorchids/monorchids, Hip/elbow Dysplasia, eye diseases, auto-immune, PDAs or other cardiac diseases). And since I really couldn’t find that combination of genetic disease-free and excellent structure/movement studs to breed to, I decided to tightly linebreed on her. So I bred Connor to his half sister Glinda.

Glinda had 12 babies. Since she did not have enough milk for such a large litter, I tube-fed 1/2 the litter for 4 weeks, every 2 hours around the clock. It was Exhausting. When they turned 8 weeks, I really didn’t think any of the DM Clear puppies were show quality so I sold them as pets. We retained my favorite puppy, Noah (DM Carrier).

Two of the DM Clear puppies were being qualified by my good friend, Carla Cavaco, to be sent to Hawaii. Just before she sent them to Hawaii, she called me and told me I HAD to drive over to see them. I was stunned, they had changed so much that they were lovely and were definitely show quality.

I sent Noah out early (9 months) with Collen Stone to be shown before I placed him in a pet home. He finished in 3 consecutive weekends, 7 shows and 3 majors. I was again stunned. I thought he was very adolescent looking and not quite “ready for primetime”. I guess I was wrong.
